Khan Kalat Meet “Baloch Bin Laden” (Hair Biyar Marri)

LONDON: Khan Kalat met Hair Biyar Marri, a terror suspect and operational commander of BLA, who is knows as "Baloch Bin Laden" for his heinous crimes and murderous acts against Baloch middle class leaders, Punjabi settlers, barbers and teachers in Balochistan. Mr. Marri was the mastermind of Kidnapping John Soleki, a U.S citizen and an official for the UNHCR, who was working in Quetta, Pakistan. John Soleki was kidnapped On February 2, 2009 by BLUF, a terrorist wing of BLA, under the direction of Mr. Hair Biyar Marri on his way to his office. His driver Syed Hashim was shot and later died at a local hospital. John Soleki was eventually released on April 4, 2009 released after after paying a huge amount of extortion money to Kidnappers, which was delivered to his father in Karachi.

BLA is a terrorist militant group banned in Pakistan and UK. Khan Kalat’s meeting with terror suspect raises many questions among Baloch Diaspora. Many Baloch believe Khan Kalat who lacks support among Baloch Diaspora and inside Balochistan, is trying to use rejected terrorists, killers and warlord to promote his monarchy and to establish his kingdom in Balochistan.

Last week Khan Kalat angered Baloch Diaspora for appointing Hossinborr, a Jundullah Associate and supporter, to testify on Balochistan in the US congress Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, Committee on Foreign Affairs. Jundullah is declared and listed as a terrorist organization by state department. Mr. M. Hossein Bor not only disappointed all Balochs by saying that the Baloch want federalism not freedom (from Pakistan and Iran), but he also distorted the facts about Balochistan and spoke against Baloch freedom fighter.

"Both, M Hossinborr and G Reza Hosseinborrs, continue to have close friendly, trade and professional relations with Pakistan and frequently visitthat country. Both along with some other Iranian Balochs are known for their support for the Jundullah. Both are propagandists for Islamabad. Both have a record of betraying the Baloch cause for personal gain & fame", wrote Malik Towghi, PhD, a prominent Baloch scholar and liaison of Baloch Human Right International.

"His whole speech was misleading and a blunder., wrote Mustufa Ali, another Baloch activist. In his speech Mr. Hossienborr says, "Baluch welcomed with open arm the newly elected Govt (in Pakistan) in 2008. I have not seen any Baloch who have welcomed Pakistani Govt with open arm". This is the biggest blunder he is making. He really needs to be hit on the head with a dirty shoe for misrepresenting Baloch demands, which is Azadee (freedom) from Pakistan and Iran not federalism. Shame on him. Who told him to represent Baluchs? ", he wrote.

"All the Baloch should call and send letter to Congressman Dan Rohrabacher’s office and ask him to trash his misleading and distorting speech in the dust bin. He is a agent of Pakistan’s ISI and Iranian revolutionary guard. No wonder he visits there often for business and doesn’t get arrested", Mustufa Ali wrote.

"This is very sad that a Jundullah terrorist was allowed to represent Eastern Balochistan, ignoring the genuine Baloch leaders who were also there and I’m sure they could have done a better job than this guy, who is not even from Eastern Balochistan. He was not only misleading and distorting the facts, but was also syaing that the Baloch wants federalism and support Monarchy instead of freedom and independence. Some one should have thrown a dirty shoe on his head for saying that. His all speech is full of blunder. He have misrepresented Baloch Nation. We all are disappointed. We lost an important chance to make our case for freedom before the US House of Representative. Whoever hand picked him without doing any home work, made a huge mistake. This was a very poor choice. I hope this will not happen again and genuine Baloch leaders who are working day and night for Balochistan cause and has a track record of Baloch leadership and activism will be selected to represent Baloch Nation more effectively", said another Baloch activist.

Khan Kalat jumped into political ring by organizing a tribal jirga or assembly of tribal warlords, political parties and personalities at his house in Kalat after the assassination of Baloch tribal leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, who was assainted by Pakstan army on August 26, 2006. The Jirga was called to discuss the future course of action in the wake of extremely high anti-Pakistan sentiment among Baloch, but Baloch were disappointed by Jirga’s decision for not including the demand of freedom. The BSO student who ere present at the Jirga, were angry over khan and shouted anti-Khan and pro-independence slogan. Many people believe Jirga was an ISI stunt aimed to help cool down Baloch sentiments against Pakistan and it army over the killing of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
